Professional Qualifications
On June 1, 2009, Robert D. Gillen, Esq. was admitted to the
bar of the Supreme Court of the United States in a ceremony
held in Washington, DC. The Honorable John. G. Roberts,
Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, granted the motion for
said admission. On the same day, the pictured bust of
Abraham Lincoln, commissioned by the Illinois State Bar
Association, was presented to Justice John Paul Stevens for
permanent display at the Supreme Court Building.
Mr. Gillen has been awarded the prestigious “AV
Preeminent” rating by
Martindale-Hubbell™ as part of their strenuous National
Peer Review Rating Process. The “AV Preeminent” rating is
the highest possible peer review rating for both legal
ability and ethical standards and according to
Martindale-Hubbell™ is the “pinnacle of professional
excellence.” The AV Preeminent rating is awarded to less
than five percent of all attorneys in the United States and
Mr. Gillen is part of the even smaller elite group that
received a perfect 5.0 rating from their peers and the
judiciary.
Mr. Gillen explained that receipt of the “AV Preeminent
Rating” is the ultimate acknowledgement by the legal
profession of an attorney’s high ethical standards and legal
abilities and “I am extremely honored to have been deemed
worthy of receiving this prestigious rating.”
